Now & Then

Reflect on what’s changed and what’s stayed the same. Two local film makers have tackled the history of the Flying Fruit Fly Circus in two documentaries.

The first, shot in 1988 by Rob Scott, reflects on a little youth circus that could– following the creation of the Flying Fruit Fly Circus and how it became The Greatest Little Show on Earth.

30 years later, local filmmaker Helen Newman catches up with alumni and current students of the company to see how far we’ve come, and what makes the Fruities so extraordinary.
